Relax, Restore and Renew


Restorative Yoga brings equanimity to the mind and body by creating a supported posture, optimizing the potential for deep relaxation, and calming the heart-mind. This immersion includes technique, background, teaching methodology, anatomy of the subtle body, philosophy, and hands-on practice. Prior yoga teacher training not required, open to teachers and practitioners of all levels.

What you will learn:

  • The psychosomatic (mind-body) effects of rest and relaxation

  • The fundamental postures and support techniques to achieve a restorative state

  • The body mechanics and cues for instructing one-on-one and group practice

  • The importance of philosophical themes and their modern value

  • The basic principles of sequencing for energetic value (sleep, awareness, digestion, destress)

What you will be able to do:

  • Experience and guide others in deep restorative postures

  • How to effectively use props to support restorative and adaptive yoga postures

  • Teach inclusive classes that support every body

  • Incorporate the yogic teachings of “ease” into a yoga practice

  • Create and guide a restorative yoga sequence with an energetic intention.
